Alliance Counsel Completes Leases for Oakland Office Building
May 1, 2012 - Alliance Counsel represented the landlord, 1625 Clay, LLC and McGrath Properties Inc., in connection with three lease agreements for the office building located at 1625 Clay Street in Oakland, CA. The tenants that will occupy the three floors of the building are Outbid, Inc., Education Pioneers, and the Institute for Sustainable Economic Educational and Environmental Design. In an area of downtown Oakland that has experienced a substantial increase in leasing activity, these commercial leases were the subject of a feature article in the San Francisco Business Times in its June 8, 2012 edition.
Amobee Acquired by Singapore Telecommunications
April 13, 2012 - Amobee, Inc. announced that it was acquired by Singapore Telecommunications ("Singtel") for $321M in cash. Alliance Counsel acted as special legal counsel to the executive team in connection with the acquisition, executive employment, and incentive compensation agreements. Singtel plans to expand the company's platform and offering, and Amobee will largely remain as an independent affiliated company in the United States. Alliance Counsel continues to represent Amobee in various commercial technology transactions.

September, 2011 - Alliance Counsel worked with its client, LB Steak Menlo Park, LLC, in connection with the acquisition of the former restaurant and the completion of the lease agreement for the second location of this restaurant group. LB Steak is affiliated with Left Bank restaurants, and it will open for business in July, 2012 at 898 Santa Cruz Avenue in Menlo Park.

Marin County Shopping Center
May 4, 2010 – Alliance Counsel represented the investment partnership managed by Magna Real Estate in connection with the purchase of the 66,000 square foot office and retail shopping center located at 707-711 Center Boulevard, Fairfax known as the Fair-Anselm Center. Magna Real Estate plans to lease the 20,000 square foot former Albertsons supermarket building to Good Earth Natural & Organic Foods. Alliance Counsel continues to represent Magna Real Estate in its commercial real estate transactions.
Jajah Finalizes Key Partnership with Yahoo!
May, 2008 - Alliance Counsel represented Jajah in the completion of a key strategic partnership agreement with Yahoo! Jajah will provide premium voice services for the almost 100 million Yahoo! customers that use its instant messaging platform. SolarCity Closes $21 Million Financing
December 10, 2007 - SolarCity Corporation closed a $21 million round of private equity financing led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, with additional investments by JP Morgan and Elon Musk, Chairman of SolarCity and Tesla Motors. This was SolarCity's third and largest financing round to date, intended to support the company's rapid growth and expansion of its comprehensive solar installation and monitoring services into new markets.
